The pattern comes from how the layers fold during forging, which cannot be controlled precisely. No two damascus rings carry the same grain. If you want something that is genuinely not identical to anyone else's ring, this is the range where that is true without paying custom prices.

Wearing damascus

Damascus is steel, which means it is hard and holds its shape, but unlike tungsten it can develop surface marks over years of heavy wear. Many owners consider that part of the appeal, since the ring records its own history.

Some damascus needs occasional oiling to protect the finish, particularly if exposed regularly to water or salt. It is slightly more involved to look after than tungsten, which needs nothing at all.

Sizing

Damascus cannot be resized. The layered structure and hardness make it impossible to cut and rejoin without destroying the pattern, so the size you order is the size you keep. All rings are comfort fit, gently domed on the inside, which tends to feel slightly looser than a flat band. If you fall between sizes, order the smaller one.
