Why titanium

Titanium is roughly 40% lighter than steel, noticeably lighter on the hand than gold or tungsten at the same width, and one of the most hypoallergenic metals used in jewellery, worth knowing if your skin reacts to nickel or other alloys sometimes used in white gold.

Titanium versus tungsten: the real trade-off

Titanium sits around 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, tungsten sits at 8 to 9, so tungsten resists scratching noticeably better. But titanium is ductile rather than brittle, which means it bends or dents under a hard impact instead of cracking or shattering the way tungsten can. Neither metal is simply better. Sizing: read this before ordering

Like tungsten, titanium cannot be resized. It is too hard to cut and reshape the way gold can be, so the size you order is the size you keep.
