Most of the rings we make are custom. You bring an idea, a reference image, or just a feeling, and we design the rest. The process is straightforward, the pricing is transparent, and you approve every detail before we cast a single gram of gold.

What We Do

Every kind of custom work, done properly

Whether you have a clear vision or just a starting point, we can work with it. Here is the range of what we do.

Custom Design from Scratch

You describe what you want and we design it. Share a sketch, a Pinterest board, a photo from Instagram, or just a feeling, and we will turn it into a wearable ring. Moissanite or lab diamond, any cut, any metal, any setting. We produce a 3D render for you to approve before anything is cast.

Modified Stock Design

You like one of our standard designs but want to change something. A different stone shape, a thinner band, a hidden halo instead of a standard one, rose gold instead of white. We can modify any existing design to your specifications, usually without increasing the price significantly.

Bespoke and Heirloom

You have family stones, an heirloom piece you want redesigned, or an antique-inspired concept that does not exist anywhere. We handle full bespoke commissions, including resetting heritage stones into new settings and designing pieces that draw from vintage and antique traditions.

Matching Wedding Bands

Once your engagement ring is designed, we can craft a perfectly fitted wedding band to match. Curved to sit flush, shaped to complement the setting, or designed as a simple companion band. We make both rings together so the fit is exact.

Men's Custom Rings

We design and craft custom wedding bands and signet rings for men in 9ct yellow, white, and rose gold. Plain, brushed, hammered, diamond-set, or any combination. Men's rings are quoted from R5,500 for a plain 9ct gold band.

Fine Jewellery Beyond Rings

We occasionally take commissions for earrings, pendants, and bracelets for clients who want matching pieces to complement their engagement ring. These are assessed on a project-by-project basis. Enquire to discuss.

The Process

How custom design works

Four stages from first conversation to finished ring. Simple, transparent, and entirely at your pace.

Brief and Quote

You share your idea. We ask questions, suggest options, and send an itemised quote covering stone, setting, and metal. No deposit at this stage.

Design and 3D Render

We produce a 3D render showing every angle of your ring. You review it, request changes, and approve the final design. Only then do we begin.

Craft and Set

Your ring is cast and hand-finished in our South African workshop. Four to six weeks from approval. We send progress photos along the way.

Deliver and Certify

Your ring arrives fully insured with its grading certificate, warranty card, care guide, and presentation box. Free delivery anywhere in South Africa.

Bespoke Commissions

One of one, for someone one of a kind.

Bespoke means genuinely unrepeatable. We work with clients across South Africa on heirloom redesigns, antique-inspired pieces, multi-stone arrangements, and rings that incorporate stones from existing family jewellery.

If you have a piece of jewellery you love but no longer wear, we can assess the stones and design something new around them. If you have a concept that does not exist anywhere, we can render it, price it, and make it.

Bespoke pieces take a little longer and cost a little more. They are also, without exception, the most meaningful rings we make. Start with a conversation and we will tell you honestly what is possible and what it would cost.

Questions

Custom design questions answered

No. Most of our custom clients come to us with a general idea and we help them develop it. Share whatever you have, a reference image, a rough description, a budget, and we will guide you from there. If you have nothing at all, we will ask questions and show you options until something clicks.

Four to six weeks from the time you approve the 3D render and confirm the order. More complex bespoke pieces can take up to eight weeks. We will give you a realistic timeline upfront before you commit to anything.

We revise it until you do. Adjustments to the render are included in the price and we do not move to production until you have signed off on the design. This stage usually takes two or three rounds of small tweaks.

Yes. We reset existing stones into new settings regularly. The stone needs to be assessed before we can quote accurately, so we will ask for measurements, photos, and if possible, the grading certificate. Contact us to start that conversation.

Not necessarily. If you are making a straightforward change to an existing design, the price is very similar to the standard version. Fully bespoke pieces with complex settings or unusual stone arrangements will cost more because they require more design and craft time. We will always quote before you commit.
