Certification & Authenticity

Certification & Authenticity

Every centre stone we sell, moissanite or lab-grown diamond, is independently graded by a recognised laboratory and issued with its own certificate. We do not grade our own stones, and we do not sell uncertified centre stones. The report number is matched to your stone, so what you receive is exactly what was graded.

Who does the grading

Moissanite is graded by GRA, the standard lab for moissanite certification. Lab-grown diamonds are graded by IGI or GIA, the two labs most widely recognised for diamond grading worldwide. Read our full GRA vs IGI vs GIA guide for what each lab actually tests and why the distinction matters.

What the certificate confirms

A grading report records the stone's measurements, cut quality, colour grade, clarity grade, and, for diamonds, carat weight. For lab-grown diamonds, the report also confirms the stone's origin as laboratory-grown, which by law and industry standard must always be disclosed. This is the same information a mined diamond report contains, graded to the same standard, by the same laboratories that grade mined stones.

How to verify a stone yourself

Every report number can be checked independently on the issuing lab's own website, not just taken on our word. IGI and GIA both run public report-lookup tools where you enter the report number and confirm it matches the stone's specifications. This means you are never relying solely on us, you can verify the certificate against the laboratory directly, at any time.

Where the report number lives

On diamonds, the report number is laser inscribed on the girdle of the stone itself, invisible to the eye but visible under magnification, permanently linking the physical stone to its certificate. Your printed or digital certificate ships with the ring, and we keep a record of every stone's report number against your order.

Conflict-free by design

Moissanite and lab-grown diamonds are both created in controlled laboratory conditions, not mined. There is no mining supply chain to audit, because there is no mining involved. Full origin transparency comes as a direct consequence of how the stones are made, not as a separate certification layered on top.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is every stone you sell certified?

Yes. Every centre stone is independently graded before it reaches you, moissanite by GRA, lab-grown diamonds by IGI or GIA.

Can I check the certificate myself, independently of you?

Yes. IGI and GIA both offer public report-lookup tools on their own websites. Enter the report number from your certificate and confirm it matches your stone's specifications directly with the laboratory.

Where is the report number on the stone?

For diamonds, it is laser inscribed on the girdle, visible under magnification. Your certificate, printed or digital, ships with your order and records the same number.

Are lab-grown diamonds required to disclose that they are lab-grown?

Yes. Industry standard and, in most markets, law require lab-grown diamonds to be clearly disclosed as such on the grading report and at the point of sale. We disclose this on every lab-grown diamond we sell, with no exceptions.

What is the difference between GRA, IGI, and GIA?

GRA specialises in moissanite grading. IGI and GIA are the two most widely recognised diamond grading laboratories worldwide, both grading mined and lab-grown diamonds to the same standard. See our full certificate comparison for details.
