Warranty & Guarantee
Every ring we make is covered from the day it leaves our workshop. Here is exactly what that covers, what it does not, and how to claim, in plain terms rather than fine print.
Limited lifetime optical warranty on moissanite
Moissanite does not cloud, dull, or lose its brilliance over time. We back that with a limited lifetime warranty on the optical properties of the stone: if your moissanite ever becomes cloudy or loses its clarity and fire under normal wear, we replace it.
This warranty covers the optical performance of the stone specifically. It is not a general breakage or damage warranty, and it does not cover chips, cracks, or structural damage caused by impact or accident.
12-month manufacturing warranty
For twelve months from delivery, we cover any fault in how the ring was made: a prong that fails, a stone that loosens in its setting, a band that separates, or any defect in casting or finishing. If something we built does not hold, we repair or remake it at no cost to you.
First resize free within twelve months
Contact us within twelve months of delivery and we resize your ring once, free of charge. You cover the cost of posting the ring to us, and we cover the return leg back to you.
Most rings can be adjusted by one to two sizes in either direction. Rings with pavé bands, eternity settings, or complex stone arrangements take more care and longer to work on, since the setting has to be maintained through the process. Rings resized or altered by another jeweller are no longer eligible. Read our ring size guide for how to get the size right before ordering.
What is not covered
Being straight with you here matters more than sounding generous. The warranty does not cover loss or theft, that is what insurance is for. It does not cover chips, cracks, or accidental damage from impact, crushing, or chemical exposure. It does not cover normal wear such as surface scratches on the metal, gradual thinning of the band over years, or rhodium plating wearing off a white gold ring, which is expected maintenance rather than a fault. It also does not cover work done on the ring by another jeweller, since we cannot warrant someone else's workmanship.
Ongoing care and maintenance
White gold needs replating every one to three years to keep its bright finish, which is standard for the metal rather than a defect. Prongs on any ring should be checked every couple of years, especially on rings worn daily. We are happy to inspect and service any ring we made, and we will always tell you honestly whether something is a warranty repair or a maintenance job before any work starts. Our care guide covers what you can do at home between services.
How to claim
Message us on WhatsApp or through our contact page with your order details and clear photos of the issue. We will tell you whether it falls under warranty, what the fix involves, and how long it will take, before you send anything back. Full terms are set out in our refund policy.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the limited lifetime warranty actually cover?
The optical properties of your moissanite. If the stone ever becomes cloudy or loses its clarity and brilliance under normal wear, we replace it. It does not cover chips, cracks, or structural damage from impact.
How long is the manufacturing warranty?
Twelve months from delivery. It covers faults in how the ring was made, including loose stones, failed prongs, and casting or finishing defects.
Is resizing free?
Your first resize is free within twelve months of delivery. You pay to post the ring to us and we cover the return leg. Additional resizes, or resizes after twelve months, are quoted individually depending on the design.
Does the warranty cover losing my ring?
No. Loss and theft are not covered by any manufacturer warranty. You should insure your ring separately, and most South African household policies allow you to specify jewellery items.
What if I chip or crack the stone?
Accidental damage is not covered. The lifetime warranty covers the optical performance of the stone, meaning clouding or loss of brilliance, rather than physical damage from impact.
Does white gold replating count as a warranty repair?
No. Rhodium plating wears with normal use and needs redoing every one to three years. That is expected maintenance for white gold rather than a manufacturing fault. See our metal guide for more on how each metal wears.
What if another jeweller has worked on my ring?
Work done elsewhere is not covered, since we cannot warrant another jeweller's workmanship. If you are unsure whether a repair would affect your cover, ask us first and we will tell you plainly.
