Commissioning a ring sounds more complicated than it actually is. In practice it means describing what you want, however roughly, and letting a jeweller turn that into a real design before anything is made. You don't need technical knowledge, a finished concept, or even certainty about what you want, that's what the first conversation is for.
Most people who reach out have one of three starting points: a clear reference image they love, a general feeling about style with no specifics yet, or a family stone they want reset into something new. All three are equally valid ways to start a commission, and the process below works the same regardless of which one describes you.

Do I need to know exactly what I want before commissioning a ring?
No. Most people start with a budget and a general feeling. We guide the rest from there through conversation, not a form you have to get right the first time.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes, with no obligation to proceed. You only pay once you approve a final design.
Can I use my own reference photos or a Pinterest board?
Yes. Send links or screenshots in the form above, or over WhatsApp once we reply. The more references you share, the closer the first design comes to what you have in mind.
How much does commissioning a custom ring cost?
Custom moissanite rings typically range from R15,000 to R45,000 depending on carat size and setting. Lab diamond commissions usually start higher. You get an exact quote before anything is made, commissioning itself costs nothing until you approve a design.
Do I have to pay before I see a design?
No. The first design concept and quote are free. A deposit is only required once you approve the 3D render and want us to start crafting.
Can I include a family stone or heirloom piece in the commission?
Yes. We regularly reset heirloom diamonds or family stones into new custom settings. Mention this in your message and we will advise on what is possible with the stone you have.
What if I do not know her ring size?
We send a free ring sizer before setting the stone. If that is not possible, we craft the ring slightly larger and offer a free first resizing after delivery.
Can I request changes after seeing the first design?
Yes. Revisions are included before casting. Nothing goes into production until you are fully happy with the 3D render.
How long does the commissioning process take from first message to delivery?
Most commissions are complete within four to six weeks from your first message to delivery. Complex multi-stone designs can take slightly longer, and we will tell you upfront if that applies to yours.
