Cut is the shape and the quality of the faceting, and it matters most because it controls sparkle. Colour describes how near-colourless the stone is; good moissanite is near-colourless as standard. A certificate is the independent report that confirms what you bought. Setting is the metal that holds the stone. Lab-grown diamond is a separate option, chemically identical to a mined diamond and graded by IGI or GIA.
