A rose gold-plated finish sits over the titanium, giving a warm pink-toned accent. As with any plated finish, the surface layer can wear over years of daily contact even though the titanium beneath will not.
Titanium sits around 6 on the Mohs hardness scale, softer than tungsten but still far harder than gold, and it is roughly 40% lighter than steel for the same volume, which is why titanium rings feel almost weightless compared to a gold or tungsten band of the same size. It is also naturally hypoallergenic, a good option if you react to nickel or other metals used in white gold alloys.
